Welcome to the Center for Neck and Back Pain, a Walnut Creek chiropractic clinic. My name is Douglas Herting DC, QME. I have been practicing chiropractic here in Walnut Creek since 1994.
I began my chiropractic practice in 1994 with a goal of helping people. Over my years in practice, I have treated thousands of patients — each of which have come to me with different health concerns. In each case, I do a complete evaluation of the patient, then put together a plan to help the patient with their particular concerns. I was born in San Francisco, and raised in Walnut Creek. After attending Northgate High School, I attended college at Sacramento State University. I graduated from CSUS in 1989, with a degree in Biology. After Sacramento State, I attended Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward. I graduated in 1993, with honors before opening my practice in Walnut Creek in 1994.
My wife, Jennifer, and I have lived in Concord since 1994. We are currently raising our two boys. I have been active in the local community for many years. I served as the president of the local Little League, as well as coaching my two boys in football and baseball.
Since beginning my chiropractic career in 1994, I have continued my education. In 2001, I became an Independent Disability Evaluator, as well as a Qualified Medical Examiner. In addition, I have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education to improve my knowledge and skills to better treat my patients.
